Home Schooling; Ernst Zundel Released but Gagged

My comments on this news:

With so many failures on their record, Homeland Security's Immigration and Customs Enforcement [ICE] has better things to do than appeal the decision to grant asylum to a family prosecuted in Germany because they home-schooled their children.

This policy reveals the Obama Administration's hostility to home-schooling. Why could that be?  Is it a totalitarian impulse that demands each child be indoctrinated?  What can be learned in public or private schools that dedicated parents are unable to teach?  Might the dreaded lesson be independent thinking that might lead [oh, the horror] to non-conformity or Christian beliefs??!

Also news is the release of the courageous Ernst Zundel from a total of almost 8 years in prison. Zundel is surely guilty of independent thought and non-conformity.  He did research on the Holocaust, attempting to ascertain how many Jews -- if not 6 million -- died, and how.

More Zundels is what home-schooling might produce if allowed to flourish. In Zundel's case, however, it appears that historical/scientific curiosity nurtured within approved schools was enough.

Although the free speech under the FIrst Amendment is still honored in the United States, the US immigration service was complicit in Zundel's arrest and deportation from his home and wife, a US-citizen, in Tennessee.  Immigration claimed that Zundel's visa application was not in order, hence authorizing deportation to Canada and prison. THe persecution of those who question the holocaust was, of course, the real reason.  Again, doesn't Immigration have something better to do??
